The planner in me took off as soon as I told myself this was going down. I started looking through all the bathroom pins on Pinterest, gathering all that good inspiration, and then took my time to really narrow down what I wanted for the space and how it could be accomplished in the least expensive way. I turned to all the fellow DIYers out there to help me with this. Everyone is so creative, with so many amazing ideas. It was seeing so many others tackle their home projects in different ways that motivated me to do the same.
As much as I love planning, I knew that I would have to approach this transformation one project at a time, but to satisfy myself, I put my vision on paper in the form of a mood board. Check it out below!
Alrighty, now that you know my vision, let me share what’s to come.
› Painting all the lovely outdated ceramic wall + ceiling tiles.
› Painting our tub, as well as the wall surround + ceiling.
› Laying peel + stick vinyl floor tiles.
› Building a vanity.
› Medicine cabinet becomes an accent wall panel.
› New lighting, fixtures, and accessories.
Time for me to get writing these blog posts about how I rose to the challenge of creating our own bathroom oasis for under $1,000! You may be thinking that all sounds like a lot of work, but trust me, if I can do it, so can you. Stay tuned for more posts on this transformation!
